Print & Online Features Editor, 8/2011 – 12/2011
As features editor, served on editorial board that led a staff of nearly 40 reporters and photographers in producing a daily online college newspaper publication and its biweekly sister print publication, The Express, which received the General Excellence award from the Journalism Association of Community Colleges in 2011 and 2012.
Brainstormed story ideas, researched and provided sources for reporters, assigned stories to reporters, edited articles in accordance with AP style and journalism convention on deadline for both daily online publication and print, wrote articles for feature, news and sports sections while serving as features editor, including an editorial, held reporters to deadlines, rewrote articles when needed, assisted designer in page design, uploaded articles and photos to WordPress as part of duties.

Wrote and published a variety of articles on local politics, business, culture and profiles within the Sacramento region. All assignments were turned in on time.
